Don Letts on British Subcultures

Don Letts is nothing short of a cultural icon. At different times, he has owned the coolest shop in London; been manager to the seminal female punk band, The Slits; jammed with Bob Marley; and directed twenty films. But perhaps most notably, through his DJing at The Roxy especially, Letts is credited as being responsible for the collision of punk and reggae. Speaking as an ambassador for Fred Perry, Letts talks to us about subcultures, fashion and growing up as black and British as it was developing as a culture.
