In occasione dell’ultima tappa londinese del Vans Warped Tour, la brava gente ad HYPEBEAST ha avuto occasione di fare una bella chiacchierata con Steve Caballero e Christian Hosoi. Un classico briefing su passato, presente e futuro dei due leggendari skateboarders, che arriva però in un periodo estremamente positivo per lo skate e la vecchia scuola così come per le rispettive storie personali, in un proliferare di contest, collaborazioni, libri, film e progetti artistici che abbiamo visto e continueremo a vedere nel futuro prossimo.
Those unfamiliar with Steve “Cab” Caballero and Christian Hosoi are likely strangers to the world of skateboarding. Involved in the scene since their teens, both Caballero and Hosoi have had tricks coined after them — “Caballerial” and “Christ Air,” respectively — and are mainstays in the Vans stable of athletes. The pair first met in 1979 and with a shared love of fun, positive-thinking and pushing boundaries, eventually built a friendship along with their legendary reputations. We were recently presented with the opportunity to sit down with both Caballero and Hosoi at the recent Vans Warped Tour at London’s Alexandra Palace to discuss their love of skateboarding, shared beliefs, Vans Half Cabs and signature products.
