The first issue of PIG Quarterly presents a selection of articles, photographic essays and short stories centred around a distinctly Italian theme – THE FAMILY – analysed in many of its aspects through the lenses of music, cinema, fashion, art, design and photography. PIG QUARTERLY – “The Famiglia” includes interviews with and about some of the most interesting personalities and events from both the past as well as the present: the tuareg musical group Tinariwen from Mali, Sister Corita, a nun-artist from Los Angeles, an overview of gangs through the lens of cinema, the influence architecture exerts in our daily lives, along with a series of short stories about family members by six talented writers and three photographic essays by Linus Bill, Ola Rindal and Sacha Maric.
